SHENGELIA ARENA

The Kutaisi Central Stadium was constructed between 1949 and 1956 on the location of the then-New Kutaisi. The initial reconstruction took place in 1998, and in 2023 it was modernized in accordance with UEFA standards. Currently, the stadium is capable of hosting 10,700 people.

The stadium's main sports arena consists of a football field, a 400-meter running track, jumping and tumbling sectors, and an international standard scoreboard. In the administrative building there are dressing rooms, medical, judges and delegates rooms, guest, media and VIP lodges, operators and TV commentators’ cabins.

In 2015, the Kutaisi Central Stadium was named after Ramaz Shengelia. In 1973-76, Shengelia was playing in Torpedo Kutaisi and scored 29 goals in 75 matches.
